We appeal to you!

The whirlwind of 2014 was certainly our most exciting year yet here in the big olde factory. We’ve been blessed with record-breaking attendance at our critically acclaimed annual events like our fourth annual Ramp Fest, a feasting celebration of the wild spring delicacy; our fourth annual Basilica SoundScape, a weekend of music and art presented in association with Pitchfork; our third season of Basilica Screening Series, committed to bring a weekly program of Film and Media; our second annual BasilicaScope, a weekend devoted to film; and our blockbuster season-closer, the second annual Basilica Farm & Flea, a large-scale marketplace focusing in local and handmade.

Although our programming has adjourned for the winter, we will be anything but dormant. In the next few months, we will be hatching and solidifying plans for our 2015 annual events, exciting new partnerships and more in music, arts, film, and community programming.

Hence our appeal to you, our community of friends, neighbors, attendees, participants and supporters: help us to keep our momentum going and our programs growing! Any amount helps to move us closer to our goal of becoming a self-sustaining arts and culture organization that serves and reflects our community with innovative, artistic boundary-pushing programs.

We’d like to take a moment to recognize the supporters who helped lead the way during our first “Basilica Film & Trees Fundraising Campaign” in 2013, which allowed us to upgrade our North Hall screening room and plant ten tall maple trees in our industrial landscape. “GET YOUR NAME ON A CHAIR” was a popular item during that campaign, and we’d like to bring it back just in time for the holidays, a perfect gift for anyone who loves Basilica, Hudson and the arts! Basilica’s North Hall Screening Room is famous for its eclectic assemblage of seating accommodations, all salvaged from a now-defunct furniture maker in the area. Make your mark on a piece of history, and never have to worry again about saving a seat for the screening. Any donation $200 or above gets your name on a chair, while supplies last.
