RAISING FLAGS & FUNDS FOR BASILICA ARTS PROGRAM
Ever since Shannon F, founding member of goth electronic duo Light Asylum, filled our factory walls with songs from her epic harddrive last June, we’ve been dreaming of the return of our very-own-goth-club. Fresh off the Shaking the Habituals tour with Sweden’s future perfect electronic brother and sister duo, The Knife, Shannon F brings out the FREAK in FLAG DAY! A veteran of the NYC music scene and a force to be reckoned with, Basilica is proud to call her a friend of the factory and have her back to celebrate Flag Day with us for the second year in a row.
Rare and Special performances by:
CRUSH is the Brooklyn based electronic love child of Alessandra Genovese and Rogelio Ramos. Swirling keyboards and two part vocal harmonies create the lush foundation of their sound, punctuated by both programmed and live percussion. 60’s surf references and Middle Eastern scales weave in and out of their gothic landscape, centered on love in all of its facets: devoted, shimmering, desperate, intoxicating, and depraved.
Love Pig is an American artist (musician, vocalist, producer,) who merges visuals (James Thacher) and bedroom pop to paint drugged out daydreams of submissive love affairs, seedy night-clubs, fog machines, strobe lights, leather, sex & sorrow.
EVILDOERS – members of a club that has long since closed its doors. Featuring Hudson dwellers Dan Seward, Melissa Auf der Maur, C. Lavender and special guest Shannon F. Do they know how badly we need them now? The Fireworks provide the rhythm, you provide the time. Dark. Sharp.
