Basilica Hudson continues its exhibition program for UPSTATE ART WEEKEND with All Hands, a presentation of Hudson Valley artists working in craft-adjacent disciplines. Artists Sean Desiree, Alison McNulty, Bob Braine, Leslie Reed and b-e-i-n-g-s-o-u-n-d embrace historical techniques and materials while addressing present-day questions of sustainability and preservation. Media includes sculpture, sewing work with human hair and fur, and woodworking. Public programs will focus on skill, education, and the cultural significance of craft as it relates to domestic, gendered, historical and indigenous object making. Curated by Jessica Wallen, All Hands will be held in the newly renovated Gallery Building at Basilica Hudson.

  • Kick off UPSTATE ART WEEKEND at Basilica Hudson during the All Hands opening on July 22 from 5-7pm. This event is sponsored by Hudson Brewing Co and The Wick. Meet the artists!
  • During UPSTATE ART WEEKEND All Hands will be open from 11am-4pm on Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24. The exhibition is open during public events and by appointment through August 27. Keep an eye on this space and follow @basilicahudson as we announce workshops and special performances!

Through its programs, Basilica Hudson supports the creation, production and presentation of independent arts and culture, and strives to forge experiences that aspire to the scale, grit and beauty of its surroundings. It draws inspiration for its mission and programming from the City of Hudson’s epic history, as well as the region’s artistic legacy and environmental advocacy.
