Basilica SoundBath was one of the first paid-ticketed events held in our building since the pandemic. The intimate evening, a belated ten-year anniversary celebration for the nonprofit, followed strict safety protocols and capped the audience at 200 fully-vaccinated people in a space that fits 1200. A film crew was on site to capture the magic in our reclaimed, solar-powered 1880s industrial factory.
Basilica SoundBath drew curatorial inspiration from Basilica Hudson’s two anchor music festivals, 24-HOUR DRONE and Basilica SoundScape, featuring alumni from both events. The Basilica SoundBath artists push the boundaries of endurance listening, experimentation and genre, each taking the audience on a journey through sound that is both meditative and visceral.
