CLIMATE x JOBS: Climate Community Investment Act Info Session

As part of the Basilica Conversation Series, join us for a Climate & Community Investment Act (CCIA) info session with Environmental Advocates NY (EANY). An opportunity to learn and ask questions about the most comprehensive environmental justice bill being reviewed by legislators. Learn how you can help support this, and how this bill can support communities like ours.

Environmental Advocates NY is the leading New York non-profit fighting for a safe climate, clean water and healthier communities for all. They have devoted over 50 years of service to the people of New York and have been on the frontlines of every major environmental victory the state has enjoyed in the past half century.

We invite City of Hudson citizens, elected officials and organizers to ask questions about how this bill can support our city and how we can advocate for it.

NY Renews, of which EANY is a steering member, is a coalition of nearly 300 environmental, justice, faith, labor, and community groups, and the force behind the nation’s most progressive climate law. The CCIA is the coalition’s priority bill this year, with the potential to raise $15 billion per year from corporate polluters to create good, green jobs, invest in frontline communities, and build a renewable economy for New York State.

Systemic change is crucial to progress. This conversation is an opportunity to dig into a bill that directly helps the planet and people most in need. Learn more about the bill being reviewed by the State and Assembly right now, how it got there AND how we can help get it approved!
