Basilica Farm & Flea – part timeless flea and farmer’s market, part 21st century craft and design fair – is inspired by the abundance of passionate and talented farmers, collectors, and artisans in the Hudson Valley. 2016 marks the inaugural Spring Market, featuring a wide range of independent makers, collectors and farmers offering a variety of seasonally appropriate products, including spring and summer-specific apparel and ephemera. It promises to be a dynamic weekend of celebration and renewal – picture spring dresses, vintage garden sets, wild edibles and maybe even a maypole. And, of course, all things Mothers’ Day!

Food + Bar
On Saturday, Swoon will create a pop-up restaurant, complete with a bar and ramp-infused menu items for all attendees to enjoy. On Sunday, Bonfiglio & Bread and Rivertown Lodge will work together to offer a delightful spring menu and bar.

Basilica Farm & Flea Spring Market will be taking over Ramp Fest weekend. After five amazing years we are honored to have a been part of putting Hudson on the map as a flourishing culinary destination, and we are excited to continue our collaboration with Ramp Fest’s founders, Swoon Kitchenbar, for this event, along with Bonfiglio & Bread and Rivertown Lodge.

How were the vendors selected?
This year, for the first time, Basilica Hudson has expanded its community expertise by working with a jury during the application process. With a broad knowledge in their field and an awareness of the many talented people in our area, the jury helps maintain and expand the quality and integrity of this event, now in its fourth year. Working with a diverse jury ensures that Basilica Hudson can consider, review and select the highest quality work the region has to offer.

How does Basilica Farm & Flea support Basilica Hudson?
By participating in Basilica Farm & Flea, vendors and attendees directly support Basilica Hudson’s mission to foster sustainable community. With attendance growing each year, Basilica Hudson is reaching new local and regional audiences while offering important platforms for avant-garde and emerging artists, local chefs, farmers, artisans, and other talents to engage and exchange with new audiences. Proceeds from admissions and vendor fees support ongoing operations for the organization, and allow Basilica Hudson to continue to develop and present its programs.

About Basilica Farm & Flea
Born Thanksgiving Weekend 2013 as the Anti-Black Friday big sister goddess, Basilica Farm & Flea showcases the wealth and splendor of the Hudson Valley’s artisanal talents, and embodies love of vintage and recycled, locally-sourced agriculture, and the beautifully handmade. And with over 10,000 square feet of raw space, Basilica Farm & Flea is the only market of this scale in the region.

Two markets are presented each year: the Spring Market, during Mother’s Day weekend, and the Holiday Market, during Thanksgiving weekend, in addition to a Mini Farm & Flea on the Sunday of the annual Basilica SoundScape weekend each September.

Presented in collaboration with Hudson River Exchange.
