With 2020 around the corner, it is time for transformation,

Hudson Greetings!

In 2020 Basilica Hudson turns 10.

Thank you for staying in tune with our solar-powered reclaimed industrial factory dream. Since our launch in 2010, so much has changed, both locally and globally.

To better serve the place we live, it is time for us to evolve and change. In the coming months, we will be sending you stories and reflections on our past year of public programs, but also exploring how the last 9 years are informing our plans to expand the Basilica mission.

This is our coming-of-age. On the eve of our ten year anniversary, we ask you to consider making an end-of-year donation. As we embark on a significant transformation, your support will have more impact than ever. Small is great, but big is fantastic – the more support we have, the more wind will be in our sails.

PLEASE SUPPORT BASILICA HUDSON

From the very beginning, our commitment has been to offer a platform for independent and innovative voices in arts and culture in a small city that did not have many spaces to do so. Since 2010, there are many new venues and champions in Hudson and the region. In the meantime, the very culture of our world and very state of our planet has changed significantly. Now, we must change, too.

In 2020, environment, education and communication will take center stage of our mission. We will focus on fostering sustainable solutions and collective actions, while continuing to bring us together around the transformative power of music, art and culture, and the joys of the human experience.

Both local and visiting Basilica audiences know how rapidly Hudson is changing. We know, too, how significant this moment is, both in the USA and on the planet as a whole. These are radical times that need big steps, loud noises and communal voices!

Thank you for reading, caring and trusting us to continue our work in elevating and protecting the place we live. From the City of Hudson’s waterfront; to wild and weird artists, farmers and makers; to meaningful action and change in the fight to protect our planet – it is great to be in this together. 2020 here we come.

Thank you for following and for your ongoing support,

Melissa Auf der Maur,
Basilica Hudson Co-Founder and Director
