HOW DO I GET THERE?
Car pooling is the most affordable way to get to Hudson. It’s a two hour drive from NYC and, with a full car and one tank of gas, you are here cheap and fast! Don’t have a car? Sign up for Zip Car. The train is the most fun way to travel to Hudson. Two hours from Penn Station, the train runs along the beautiful river. Basilica is conveniently located 400 feet south of the Hudson NY Amtrak station. However, the trains sell out quickly and get expensive as availability runs out, so you must book ASAP. Train tickets are 100% refundable — better to be safe than sorry – Book now! Basilica Hudson is located at 110 South Front Street, Hudson, NY 12534.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The full 24-HOUR endurance experience is not compulsory! You may come and go as you please! However, if you plan to stay the duration, please see suggestions on supplies to bring.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
Basilica is a unique industrial setting with limited space. Bring a camping pad/yoga mat/folding chair and pillows/cushions/sleeping bags/blankets. Space is limited and the wellbeing of all DRONERs is key, so please be respectful and limit the gear that you bring in order to maximize space and comfort for all DRONERs.
Bring ONE mat per person, not more.
Motorised/inflating air mattresses and camping chairs will not be permitted this year, as they take too much space and disrupt the flow of the event.
Surplus items will be kept safe for you until the end of the event.
Bring warm and comfortable clothes, bottles for refill at Basilica’s water fountain, and endurance-enhancing snacks.
PLEASE NOTE: space for endurance lounging/listening is limited and will be first-come-first served.
WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINK?
Yes. Basilica’s bar is open noon – 3am. Round-the-clock food and drink options will be available, thanks to our friends at Alimentary Kitchen, Taste of India, Love Apple Farm, Rev Coffee and Tin Can Juicery. Cash only!
IS THERE AN ATM ON SITE?
No. Bars and food are cash only. The closest ATMs are at the Hudson Amtrak station (daytime) and the Half Moon Bar (nighttime), both a short walk up South Front Street.
IS BASILICA HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, Basilica includes ADA-accessible entrances, exits, and bathrooms.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
No. Due to both Board of Health regulations regarding food and the sheer volume of this event, dogs (or pets of any kind) are not allowed. The only exception is service dogs.
CAN I LEAVE AND COME BACK?
Absolutely. One DRONE ticket includes reentry, in case you need to take a breather.
IS THIS SUITABLE FOR KIDS?
We have had parents that have brought their babies and small children, but the event isn’t specifically geared towards families. This event is unique in that it presents an opportunity for many people to slow down and sit in stillness, while at other times can be louder than you thought possible. It’s up to you; you know your child best! If you bring your kids to music shows, we suggest you get them sufficient ear protection. Note: there may be adult content during our video program.
CAN I CATCH A CAB?
There are a number of taxi services in Hudson. However, we suggest you call them early to make a reservation. As they typically don’t run after 9pm (with few exceptions), they are best for daytime pickups.
