BIFF June 1st and 3rd : Marina Abramović and Gregory Crewdson

Both internationally acclaimed artists have been profiled in new feature-length documentaries, and both these giants of the art world will make a rare personal appearance at BIFF’s seventh season to participate in post-screening Q&As and special events. Marina Abramović: The Artist is Present screens on June 1, after a cocktail party and dinner for passholders. Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters screens on June 3 and will be followed by a closing night party for passholders. All-access film passes are already sold out, but higher-level passes that include the festival’s special events are still available. The Basilica Hudson looks forward to its future collaborations and guest programs with the Berkshire International Film Festival: BIFF, run by Basilica family member Kelley Vickery, within our weekly Basilica Screenings. BIFF is quite close, and these two screenings above are sure to be incredible evenings. We encourage each and every member of the Hudson community to take part in this rare opportunity to welcome the artist (and soon-to-be local) behind the newly proposed performance art institute in Hudson, which Abramovic and architect, Shigematsu have said they hope will help make Hudson a destination for an art-loving crowd.
