Basilica SoundScape 2013
Presented in Association with Pitchfork and Leg Up Management
Basilica Hudson is working in collaboration with international music organizers and connoisseurs, Pitchfork’s Brandon Stosuy and Brian Deran of Gleam HOuse and Leg Up Management, to program BasilicaSoundScape (formally Basilica Music Fest), a carefully curated weekend program featuring a wide range of music, visual art, and literature that aims for specific connections and overlaps instead of “festival”-style overload.

At the inaugural weekend of the event in August 2012, Hudson Artist and welder Kris Perry’s “MACHINES” occupied the industrial factory while flocked with a small army of noise and metal artists including Hunter Hunt-Hendrix’s Liturgy, experimental Orthrelm/Krallice guitarist Mick Barr, and Robin Carolan of Tri Angle Records. The following night was anchored by Gang Gang Dance, Prince Rama, Psychic Paramount, and a group show of visual artists including Spencer Sweeney, Andrew Kuo, William Stone, and Daniel Higgs
The weekend turned out to be something special and very unlike the usual glutted music festival. Therefore, we are proud to announce BasilicaSoundScape 2013, taking place this September 13-15, again on the Hudson Waterfront.
