BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL MARKET 2020 GIFT GUIDE
This year, we celebrate our eighth consecutive Basilica Farm & Flea Market and it comes with some changes: we have gone virtual! While we miss gathering in our riverside factory, we are thrilled for this year’s market because we are spreading out the celebration – our promotional campaign goes through mid-December, with links to the vendors remaining on our site indefinitely!
There may have never been a year in which supporting small businesses is more important. With our local entrepreneurs and artists facing unpredictable challenges, it is vital that we shop small this Black Friday and holiday season. Below you will find a list of some of the vendors our virtual market is featuring and the incredible products they offer!
We suggest ordering by mid-December so vendors can send out holiday gifts in time, but they will remain on our website indefinitely!

DRINKS:
Whether you are or know an aspiring mixologist, BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL HOLIDAY MARKET 2020 has your cocktail ingredients covered. Start with a beautiful hand blown glass from Catskill Glassworks and fill it with delicious local spirits like potato vodka from 1857 Spirits or various whiskeys from Hillrock Estate Distillery. And finally, bring the recipe together with fruit syrups for a mixer (even for seltzer!) from Maya’s Syrup and Jam.
HOMEMAKER:
For many of us, 2020 has consisted of spending a lot of time at home. Maybe it’s time to spruce up your aesthetic or even add new items to it! Either way, the BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL HOLIDAY MARKET has many unique vendors that will give your home an authentic and original feel.
From centric body-fit, zero waste furniture from FN Furniture, to accent ceramic pieces from Lumpland, all the way to comfort-maximizing products like recycled fast fashion textile pillows from CRCL Earth, handmade wool items from Greene County Wool, and woven products from Willow Vale Farm.
And because the home includes the kitchen and therefore food storage, Z Wraps has all of your long lasting food storage products for leftover holiday meals. Plus, all of their products are made of compostable ingredients and are environmentally conscious.
Green Mountain Energy can also help you find 100% clean energy solutions for your home!
SELF CARE:
2020 has reminded us just how vital self-care is for our physical and mental wellbeing. Many of the BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL HOLIDAY MARKET 2020 vendors provide products that cover a wide array of self care options for you or your loved ones this holiday season.
Head over to Olivia Clementine, who encourages daily rituals of nourishment and radiance, as well as to Moisturize Me for an array of organic butters. Sage Elements specializes in relaxation centered products like oils, bath salts and bath bombs. And set the self-care mood with candles from Essentially Charlie.
Good Fight Herb Co. provides plant based remedies organically cultivated from the Mohican territory in New York’s Hudson Valley. You can also find a wide range of self-care centric hemp products from Hudson Hemp.
KIDS:
Our virtual market isn’t just for adults! We have kid-centric vendors where you can find unique activities like hand felting kits from Petit Felts, to eco-friendly toys for kids of all ages at So Handmade. There are even options for new moms and their little ones from Chelsea & Marbles – the perfect holiday gift!
Each transition into colder weather exposes how much our kids have grown and therefore, need new clothes! Steer away from big business and fast fashion and shop at Petit Pilou for organic and sustainable handmade clothes for kids!
ARTS:
Bring the arts to your home with goods from a wide array of innovative designers and creators.
Carry a piece of Hudson history with the Hudson Area Library’s tote bag, which features a beautiful line drawing by local artist Tony Kieraldo. The Virtual Market also features original products from Open Studio – ceramics, embroidered pictures, books, prints, and more – and Sarah Mijares Studio’s beautiful and innovative ceramics. These vendors provide you with an opportunity to create an entirely authentic and one of a kind space for you or your loved ones, while simultaneously supporting local artists.
TREATS:
What else goes hand-in-hand with the holidays than treats and cuisine? This year, the BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL HOLIDAY MARKET features vendors that will elevate your holiday cuisine and end 2020 on a locally-sourced high-note!
Jacuterie has your appetizers covered with small-batched European charcuterie options for the perfect charcuterie board. You can also source your recipe ingredients, like organic veggies, fish, and meats from Hudson Valley Fisheries and Mill River Farm. And finally, finish your favorite dishes with delicious sauces or probiotic rich sauerkraut from Hosta Hill.
NATURE LOVER:
While our vendors are nature lovers themselves, the BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL HOLIDAY MARKET also features vendors specifically for the nature lover! Like Hudson Valley Seed Co., who can help you cultivate your dream garden full of herbs, veggies, flowers, and more! And Trumbull Farms, an organic lavender farm that makes sachets and wreaths, ideal for the holiday and beyond!
The integrated community for people of all developmental differences at Camphill Village has a rich product list that ranges from syrups and candles, to hats and stationary! You are sure to find something here.
And finally, Sawkille Farm is a sustainable and diverse livestock farm that raises meats and makes yarn, soaps, and leather goods.
FASHION:
With the changing weather and cold temperatures approaching, we need to be prepared with warm clothing. The BASILICA FARM & FLEA VIRTUAL HOLIDAY MARKET features homemade knitted hats, scarves, gloves, and sweaters from Chapeau De Lulu.
To accommodate these trying times and with a vision to fill the void of fashionable masks, Selkie has pivoted their business production to cotton face masks that are both comfortable, practical, and fashionable.
As Shana Lee believes, objects resonate with energy and it is her goal to empower every person who wears her jewelry.
This year, your holiday shopping is community action. When you shop local, you’re not just getting a high-quality and beautiful product — you’re supporting someone’s livelihood. Thank you for supporting these incredible vendors, and thank you for supporting Basilica Hudson.
